This 2006 two-disc set, part of Legacy’s excellent ESSENTIAL series, presents a fine selection of 1990s recordings by gospel singer Yolanda Adams. Although the collection shares many songs with ’99’s BEST OF YOLANDA ADAMS, including the reassuring ”Through the Storm” and the slow, soulful ”Is Your All on the Altar?,” ESSENTIAL features 10 more tracks than the earlier disc, making it the most comprehensive Adams anthology available.
